10 years ago, the time between selling a house and exchanging contracts, could be as short as 4-5 weeks. Nowadays, sometimes because of restrictive finance and the number of solicitors available, this period can now exceed 10 weeks and require specialist management of the sales progression to achieve the deserved end result. It is therefore important when choosing an agent not only to consider valuation and fees but also to make sure the agent has a specialist team available to manage the sales progression and make selling a property as stress free as possible.
