A quite outstanding and thoughtfully renovated, detached, three storey, three doubled bedroomed village retreat providing deceptively spacious accommodation, incorporating a large dining kitchen to the rear, with a lantern roof.
The property combines the innate character and charm of a grade 2 listed building with all the contemporary refinements of modern day living, and incorporates a somewhat decadent second floor master suite, with a bedroom dressing room and en suite bathroom.
Originally dating from 1861 and formerly the village police house, it was decommissioned around 1960 and converted into a residential property, with the former village jail being converted into a boot and utility room. The property has a walkthrough sitting and dining room with a central fireplace and the stunning dining kitchen offers an unexpected light and airy living space. There are two double bedrooms and a shower room on the first floor, and the stunning master suite takes up the whole of the second floor.
The property is warmed with gas fired central heating from 2 independent boilers, with underfloor heating to the kitchen and utility room. There is also a gas fired Aga stove.
Externally there is off road parking for one vehicle to the side in addition to a large garden store and garden room adjacent to the sizeable and cleverly screened garden area.
The property could not be more centrally located in one of the most popular villages in the North Cotswolds, close to the village green and only a few hundred yards from the village shop and cafe, which doubles as a restaurant several evenings a week. The village has it's own primary school, two public houses and is positioned midway between the Cotswold cafe society of Chipping Campden and the more traditional market town of Moreton-in-Marsh where there are rail links for London Paddington.
The property has been used as a high end holiday rental over the last few years with Character Cottages with great success.
